At the University of Vermont Medical Center, the quality of care we provide is our highest priority. Hospital Quality and Safety Reports and our Hospital Report Card are two resources available to the community to learn about our performance and how our quality rankings compare to those of other hospitals and healthcare systems.

Quality of Care Reports

The James M. Jeffords Institute for Quality and Operational Effectiveness at The UVM Medical Center coordinates ongoing performance improvement activities throughout the organization to ensure we are providing the highest quality care in the safest possible manner.

Our Quality of Care Reports contain regularly updated information describing how we perform on measures of quality for specific areas, including cardiology, children's health, surgery and women's health.

Hospital Report Card

The annual Hospital Report Card, required annually by state law, ranks the UVM Medical Center's performance on a number of national quality and financial measures, as well as information on hospital governance, public participation in strategic planning and decision-making, strategic initiatives, and activities and programs available to the public.
