  • Access to innovative treatments and clinical trials: We are a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), an international research organization affiliated with the National Cancer Institute. This organization is dedicated to developing new treatments and cures for cancers that affect children. Our pediatric hematologist oncologists treat every type of childhood cancer and blood disorder. We offer treatments for:

Childhood Illness: Advantages and Benefits We Offer

  • Advanced diagnostic imaging: Our expert pediatric radiologists use advanced imaging technologies, resulting in a quicker and more precise diagnosis for you. The more precise the diagnosis, the more specific and tailored the treatment we can offer.
  • Expert pathology services: We have specialized anatomic and clinical pathologists and an on-site molecular diagnostics laboratory. This high level of specialization means we can test tissue samples for cancerous cells and identify genetic markers in tumor cells.   • Transfusion services: Some treatments for cancer and blood disorders require blood transfusions from donors to help the patient recover from the effects of chemotherapy. Our caring and supportive transfusion nurses make the transfusion as comfortable as possible.
  • Coordinated specialized care: We work with other pediatric specialists, including our pediatric intensive care and pediatric surgery teams, to provide the most comprehensive pediatric care in our region.

Support & Resources

Our team is committed to family-centered care. We provide a wide-range of support resources for our young patients, their parents and siblings. From diagnosis through treatment, we will identify and support your child’s developmental, psychological and social needs.

  • Social worker: We have a dedicated social worker who is an integral part of your child’s treatment team, providing individualized care to your child and family. Services include communication and coordination with schools to better serve your child, helping families access resources for financial assistance, transportation and housing.
  • Counseling: We provide pediatric psychology services for you, your family and your child. We can help you manage the stress of illness and treatment.
  • Child Life program: Our highly skilled Certified Child Life Specialists work with your child and your child's siblings to cope with the many unique medical interactions, medical procedures and physical changes that often come with a cancer or blood disorder diagnosis.
