Research in the Department of Surgery includes a wide range of activities directed toward improving the quality of patient care and developing novel, innovative therapies. We are engaged in both scientific research in the laboratory and clinical trials that bring that research to our patients.
As a university hospital, The UVM Medical Center is training the next generation of physicians in partnership with the UVM College of Medicine. Your neurology team may include residents and medical students, who work under the close supervision of attending physicians.
