Ensuring the Future of Research at UVM
The University of Vermont’s researchers contribute key findings to the world’s evolving understand of biomedical science, which then provide a basis for significant advancements in illness prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
At this time, a new biomedical research complex is vital to ensure the future of research at UVM and enable the scale of medical innovations necessary to meet the complex and evolving needs of our population.
A leadership gift from Steven Firestone, MD ’69, given in honor of his parents, Dr. Frederick and Mrs. Bobbie Firestone, has set the stage for construction of such a facility. With flexible, collaborative spaces, the new facility will improve efficiencies, promote resource-sharing, support innovation and enhance the teaching environment.
