Multiple opportunities exist for the specialty resident to be actively involved in education of pharmacy students, pharmacy practice residents, nursing and physicians involved in training programs by participating in the following activities:
- Didactic Lectures at the University of Vermont and/or affiliated Colleges of Pharmacy (when available)
- Grand Rounds (1 hour continuing education program per year)
- Formal Lecture (1 hour continuing education program at the Vermont Society of Health Pharmacists Annual Meeting)
The resident will have the opportunity to co-precept pharmacy students and pharmacy practice residents during the program to gain valuable preceptorship experience.
The hospital has active affiliations with both Albany College of Pharmacy, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. The Program Director will meet with you to discuss various aspects of precepting, including importance of evaluations and daily responsibilities.
