University of Vermont Medical Group physicians give general surgical residents substantial surgical exposure preparing them for careers in general surgery, academic surgery and surgical fellowship training.
Diverse Surgical Training Opportunities
Surgery residency rotations are designed to provide experience in preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for patients in all general surgery areas. The rotations are divided into various teams, and each team is under the direction of an attending physician. The attending ensures residents meet educational objectives through one-on-one interactions.
