At the University of Vermont Children's Hospital, our developmental evaluation teams specialize in the diagnosis of children with global developmental delay, intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder.
Pediatric Developmental Evaluation Program
Our pediatric specialists offer comprehensive evaluation for children with suspected developmental disability. We specialize in making initial diagnoses and recommendations, which are communicated to child's family and medical home.
Evaluation Process
During the intake process, our team collects information about your child's development. We then recommend the best diagnostic team to meet your child's specific needs. Teams may include a developmental behavioral pediatrician, child psychiatrist, psychologist and/or speech-language pathologist.
Our specialty clinics offer a team approach and work collaboratively to meet your child's specific needs. Throughout the process, we communicate with you and your child's community providers to ensure the best possible care.
